I started at the Great Gulf Trailhead and headed on the Great Gulf trail into the Great Gulf Wilderness. After a while, I got on the Six Husbands trail (one of the steeper trails in the white) and headed up Mt. Jefferson. It was a lot of fun going up the trail and fortunately the rock was dry. There were even ladders in some sections. Soon I was above treeline and continued to Jefferson Summit. There were great views on the summit and maybe 20mph winds. The clouds were moving quickly by. Then I continued on the Gulfside trail over to Mt. Adams. The were definitely some 30mph gusts on Adam summit and it was completely in the clouds, but there was enough visibility to see the cairns. I continued down to Madison Hut and over to Madison Summit. A wind jacket and hood were necessary. Madison Summit had the same conditions. Then I continued down Osgood Trail with the view clearing up as I descended down. It was a great day for a long hike. I am guessing 15+ miles and about 6000 ft. elevation gain.
