We started at Lowes store and continued up Lowes Path. It was cold to start, but sunny. While some of had snowshoes, the trail was well broken out and was barebootable to Gray Knob. After a snack break at Gray Knob, we decided to venture above treeline. I put on crampons, although many in our group barebooted it. We continued above treeline and it was not as windy as predicted. We nearly lost the trail after Adams 4, but we were able to find it and soon we stood on the summit. It was windy on the summit, but the wind decreased substantially a couple hundred vertical feet from the summit. We descended same way (by Lowes Path). A nice day. We got great views in between passing clouds and we keep moving at a steady constant pace to avoid getting too tired and too cold.
