Mt. Liberty Hike 1/08/06

Although I already hiked Liberty, this hike marks my first winter ascent of Liberty. Nice Day hiking. No wind. Temperature felt warm for winter hiking (maybe in the 20s). Started up the Whitehouse trail to Liberty Spring Trail and then up to the Franconia Ridge and then proceeded the short way to the summit of Liberty. Returned same way. Very pleasant hike. Light Flurries to start hike (the flurries stop after an hour). No view from summit (cloudy), but we saw the sun trying to peak through. The sun succeeded. A half hour after we left the summit, we saw blue skies.
