Woke up at 4:15am and drove down the Little River Road off of Route 3 to the hike about 6:30am. Hiked on old logging roads to the Trailhead and then proceeded on the North Twin Trail to North and South Twin. We bushwacked to avoid the first two stream crossings. Third stream crossing was a little tricky, but not too bad. There was only a couple inches of snow on the ground (maybe 6 inches or more near the summit), but there was not enough for snowshoes. We barebooted the whole way. The weather was windy making it feel colder. Very windy on the open summit of South Twin.
