Rock Climbing New Hampshire July 4 to 6, 2008

On Friday, we climbed up Cannon Mountain. We went up Weissner's Dike, and toped out just left of where old man of the mountain used to be. We did the climb in six pitches and the climb was rated a 5.6. While the climbing was not too hard, there were many loose rocks, including loose large boulders. That night we caught the fireworks in Lincoln. On Saturday, we went to WhiteHorse Ledge and climbed up Standard Route. The rock was completely different than Cannon. The rock was slabby with not many hand holds, but it was not super steep and no loose rocks. I would not wanted to have attempted this climb in the rain. On Sunday, we went over to Rumney and climbed at the Parking Lot Wall. The weather was nice and sunny and warm for the whole long weekend. There was also many bugs keeping us company too. Bug Spray, Water, and Sun Tan Lotion were essential. We camped at Campton Campground. It was the great weekend of climbing!
